Law of Attraction Blog Abraham Hicks Allowing : The Case of the Sting Ray

OK guys, today I wanted to share with you an exercise that I have been using every morning to help me to expand my mind slightly when it comes to what I desire and also to help me to be in a state of allowing. For any of you that are not aware both of these ideas come from the concept of the Law of Attraction. This is the idea that if you focus on what you desire, with a positive mindset, the Universe will deliver. So applying Law of Attraction should be really easy, so I written down this simple exercise I use to show you how easy it can be.

So the exercise I do every morning is called, “Wouldn’t it be nice if…” and it is a very simple and powerful way to bring you more of what you want.

* So wouldn’t be nice if…is quite self explanatory, Basically the exercise revolves around allowing your mind to wander in the direction of, wouldn’t it be nice if this could happen, or wouldn’t it be nice if that could happen. It can be anything from, wouldn’t it be nice and I could have a romantic evening together, to wouldn’t it be nice if my business made a million dollars this year.

* I spend around 15 minutes doing this exercise. You can spend more but if you want to make more impact I would actually do it more regularly. If you do the exercise for too long either you mind starts to wander or, you start forcing it which is not what you want (I deal with that in a later point.)

* I always try and do this exercise when I am walking, which for me is the beach, but most importantly is away from the house, my computer, my dogs, my wife and any other distractions. This has two other benefits. First of all it means you are getting some exercise! Second of all it means you are in a changing landscape and this prompts a whole load of new thoughts; I am unlikely to put a desire forward for kite surfing if I was not walking along a beach!

* Great thing with this exercise is it puts you in a great mood very quickly, which is really important when putting your desires out there, which means it doesn’t matter whatever mood you start in, which is usually a good job for me in the mornings!

* Lastly, but importantly, do not force this, just let your mind freely jump from idea to idea, if you run out of ideas just stop for a while and relax, wanting should not be difficult!

So, what evidence do I have that focusing brings around circumstances? About 2 months ago my wife was stung by a sting ray; we live on a beach in Honduras and so this is quite a common occurrence. Although the bite hurts it is not life threatening, they are very small rays! Anyway regardless of this since it happened my wife has been really looking out for them and it has been bugging me a little so I did a “Wouldn’t it be nice if …” I never stepped on a Sting Ray.

As I continued walking on the beach, I started spotting weird looking things being washed up. I quickly realised they were Sting Ray tails and began gathering them up, by the time I finished I had around 50. My point is, positively or negatively you attract what you focus upon. I focused on Sting Rays and I got them, had I focused on safety in the water it would have been a different outcome once again.

I hope the exercise and the story attached are positive exercises for you; what you focus on, you get; if you focus on money you get money, if you focus on the lack of money you get that. Just remember the Universe does not recognise no or not, so when you focus make sure its on where you want to be and not on where you are now!
